Sofia Magazine

The Network has published over 150 issues of a magazine since 1990. It is now published quarterly and is called Sofia.

All members receive printed issues of the magazine with their membership.  Non-members can also subscribe here to receive printed issues.

Listed here are links to PDFs of all the SOF (Sea of Faith) Network magazines, which explore religion as a human creation. The early magazines were called The Sea of Faith Magazine, then Sea of Faith, and later SOF.  The magazine’s name was changed to Sofia from issue 75.

An index of authors has been compiled that covers our complete archive of magazines from no.1 Spring 1990 to no.142 December 2021.

Sofia supports the Sea of Faith Networks charitable aim ‘to advance the education of the public in religious studies with particular reference to religious faith seen as a human creation’.

The relevant editors invite submissions of articles (on the theme of the edition as announced in the previous editions), arts and book reviews, notices of new books, and letters.
